Our services are provided by talented professionals located throughout the United States with decades of experience in fields ranging from entertainment to education to business.
CEO Diana Ascher brings more than two decades of experience as a writer and editor to the helm of Artemis Editing. In the corporate world, Ascher served as a writer, editor and multimedia producer for companies such as Bloomberg and American Funds. In academia, Ascher was the manager of distance learning at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. And in the entertainment realm, Ascher gained experience as a writer and producer working at Roger Corman's Concorde New Horizons, Paramount Television and in independent films. Early in her career as a journalist, Ascher wrote for the Durham Herald-Sun and the Charlotte News & Observer. She has written and edited in the areas of business, finance, retirement, environmental policy, health, medicine, technology, film, literature, politics, parenting and more. Ascher earned her M.B.A. from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University and her B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University.

Charlie has more than 15 years of experience creating all types of employee communications. He has worked with Fortune 500 clients in retail services, manufacturing, insurance, pharmaceutical, banking and financial services. Charlie’s experience includes creating annual benefits enrollment campaigns, writing summary plan descriptions, facilitating focus groups and all aspects of retirement, pension and financial education programs. Over his career, Charlie has worked for both major human resources consulting firms and financial services companies as a senior writer and project manager. Charlie has a bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in professional writing from The College of New Jersey.
Nancy has more than three decades of experience as an editor and writer in the fields of academia, publishing and corporate communications. Early in her career, she was a copy editor for several trade magazines, among them Entrepreneur and the monthly trade publication for the California Association of Realtors. Later, she left publishing for the field of corporate communications, helping to craft employee materials and client presentations for Ernst & Young and Towers Perrin, management consulting firms specializing in the creation of actuarial, benefits, compensation, and retirement communications for a wide variety of Fortune 500 and non-profit corporations. As a freelance editor, she has worked on materials ranging from poetry to nonfiction, although what she finds most gratifying is assisting students with their college admissions essays. Nancy holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in English from Loyola-Marymount University.
Paula is a seasoned editor who copyedits, rewrites, proofreads, and fact-checks all types of communications for all industries. As value added, she is able to perform those functions in English, French, and Spanish. Paula has editorially counseled Fortune 500, Big Four, and smaller clients and become familiar with the terminologies of academia, business, finance, high technology, law, medicine, and pharmaceutics. She has a B.A. in French and Spanish from Queens College.
Jane is an experienced editor and writer with a diverse communications background: She has worked in the highly visible public affairs and communications departments of Fortune 500 corporations and in the marketing areas of small startup companies. She has more than 25 years of experience editing, writing and managing the publication of a variety of print materials. She has edited and proofread publications for a number of high-profile clients in Los Angeles including Business Wire, Canon Communications, LIVE! and Los Angeles magazines. Jane’s roots are in education and teaching. She began her career teaching composition to college freshmen and English to junior high students. She has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in teaching from Middle Tennessee State University where she was awarded a graduate assistantship in English. Jane completed a certificate program in journalism at UCLA Extension.
Alison is a widely published author and experienced professional editor, with extensive experience editing a variety of documents, including books, professional and journal articles, white papers, dissertations, policy reports, and academic studies. Her own articles have appeared in publications such as The Washington Post, The Christian Science Monitor, The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Government Technology, Emergency Management, Social Justice Review, Washington Woman, The World & I, and others. Alison received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, and taught grades 4-8. Her personal interests include history and social policy.
Carol is an experienced, multi-disciplinary creative director and graphic designer. She has worked for top internationally known design firms and Fortune 500 companies. Her disciplines include branding and identity, advertising, corporate communications, annual reports, editorial design and art direction (books and magazines), websites, catalogs and collateral. Her clients have included Sony, McDonald’s, Alberto-Culver, MillerCoors, Bloomberg, Fidelity Investments, Booz-Allen and Hamilton, The Washington Post, Time Inc., U.S. News and World Report, L’Express and La Vanguardia. She has won top industry design awards for annual reports and publications. She has a BFA in Communication Arts.
